A facility of this quality and type is a multi-million dollar project. Unimproved land (outdoor tracks) are inexpensive compared to the high cost of building structures in coastal California. Additionally, this facility will be very state-of-the-art and can't even be compared to an outdoor track. The lighting, timing systems, video systems, bike storage, fitness center, lounge and showers are all extras that you won't find in an outdoor venue. We are confident you will see the value in it like we do.
You can save $300 per year off the Stock membership or $600 per year off the Works membership. We highly recommend this if you can afford it.
The fitness center, lounge, showers and bike storage and valet services are great members-only benefits. Additionally, we are building a special VIP room, and spectator seating for Works members and their families.
Bike storage allows a Works member to simply leave their bike at the track with a valet attendant after their ride. The member's bike will be washed, chain waxed, and stored in a locked area until the member is ready to ride again. To get a bike out, the member simply calls the track, selects the valet extension and asks for their bike to be out and ready for them when they come.
Approximately 25 riders will be allowed on the adult and 25 on the mini tracks simultaneously. When it is busy, the track management system takes over. The electronic transponders issued to every rider will allow the system to green light another member or multiple members to enter the track when one or more exits. This also starts the electronic timing and video systems capturing the rider's entire practice session for review later.
On busy days, the track will feature multiple practice sessions allowing riders of similar speed and ability to ride together safely and comfortably without fear of being jumped on, roosted or landing on someone. The sessions will be mixed up so that each riding class will have several morning, afternoon, and evening sessions that will fit their style each week. The most requested classes are (beginner kids & parents, modified-mini, vet, intermediate, pro, & super-moto). The electronic timing system keeps everyone honest and grouped together in their appropriate classes.
Yes. The facility will cater to riders who wish to rent their choice of; stock 50 class, modified-mini, stock 250F, 250F super-moto, or stock 450F for approximately $40 per hour or $150 per day.
If there is enough future demand, the track may incorporate one or more quad and off road go-kart days.
The facility will definitely cater to this growing group of riders. We are considering a permanent section lined with Rhino barriers and asphalt for a real super-moto experience. The only different is that the track will be mostly dirt 85/15 dirt over asphalt vs. the typical race is about 20/80. Still, a few exciting turns and transitions should get the job done for those of us with the bug. Super-moto rentals will also be made available.
That is the plan. The first facility proposed has enough spectator seating and parking for about 200-300 people, so the races will have to be spread out over 1-2 days in a way that makes sense. The current thinking is that Thursday night, Sat and Sunday races would be offered to start as the demand is worked out.
The people behind WorldMotoplex are committed to getting San Diego taken care of first. If the concept is as successful as we envision, we are prepared to build new sites. If you are a qualified investor and would like to propose a partnership of some form to open another facility, please email john@worldmotoplex.com.
Not currently. However, we're keeping our options open and if you are interested in discussing how you could provide value to the operation, please let us know. Contact john@worldmotoplex.com.
Yes, very likely. In fact, even better: We are working with a group to also provide a video-on-demand cable channel that you, your friends and family could access from anywhere and pull up your actual practice or racing session on national cable television!
